Hi, I am Shastri, the editor of Decanews and a technology enthusiast.

As a technology enthusiast I followed literally hundreds of news sources and technolgoy blogs and realised that most of what I was reading was really unimportant. Even to get to that unimportant content, I had to tolerate pop-up ads, distracting flash and all other nonsense.

I looked for a site that would give news summaries in an easy to read format. Something that is short, easy and quick. I found none. Thus Decanews was born.Decanews is something that I would have liked to read myself!!

Apart form Decanews, I am interested in many other geeky hobbies. I am currently in my late twenties and married to a wonderful woman who shares my passion for technology and geekery.
